Quotable Monday's

The best rememdy for those who are afraid,
lonely or unhappy is to go outside,
somewhere where they can be
quiet, alone with the heavens, nature and God.

Because only then does one feel
that all is as it should be
and that God wishes to see people happy,
amidst the simple beauty of nature.
I firmly believe that nature brings solace in all troubles.

Just Thinking....

Been doing a little thinking these days about this blog.
Yes the grammar in that last sentence was terrible.

I don't care.

Weather like this will do that to you....

If you float around in the blogosphere there are so many Mommy blogs out there.  I started blogging because I wanted a journal.  I was fairly private and was happy with my anonymous crowd.  Then people I know in real life started to read it........... well I'm not feeling too comfortable posting what's truly on my mind.  Don't get me wrong I love you all reading my "thoughts" but it freaks me out a little when I get to Mom's group and someone comments about something and I wonder "how would you know you were not in my house this morning" and then I remember I blogged about it.

I am not in the same category of many bloggers that yearn for high traffic volumes.  I enjoy my small "community" that visits daily and I truly enjoy reading their blogs.  I don't visit just to comment back.  I do love what you have to say and have made an investment of reading about your daily life.  Your a "friend" of sorts. A friend I may never meet face to face or hear your voice on the telephone BUT you are another human being that has touched my life in some way and in the end that is all that matters.

Social Networking is so cool!!

And weird all at the same time.

I'm happy with my little part of the interent but there are times I feel pressured to write some GREAT post.  There are also times I want to write my true deep thoughts but do not always feel comfortable posting them anymore.

Why?

Not sure.

I think it was easier when I thought no one was actually reading what I had to say.

Maybe I'm scared of criticism.

Hopefully someday I'll regain my courage and my ownership of my thoughts.

So thank you to those that visit.  I do enjoy your comments and emails.

A Yearly Tradition

My boys have started their own Spring Tradition.

Stuck in the mud.

I could hear Sammy crying from within the house.
I knew what happened before I even looked out the window.

I sent Big Brother to help out.

That boot was not moving.

Yup, stuck good.

It happens every year!

Tackle It Tuesday

Tackle It Tuesday Meme

I really wanted to finish this tackle for today but it did not happen.  I'm still posting it because it will be an ongoing tackle till June when Preschool is over.

I willing took the job of scrapping the preschool yearbooks.  There are 19 books....what was I thinking?

I was keeping up until after Halloween.  Then Christmas came and went and I was really behind.  So now for the past month I have set up shop at my dining room table and I work on them when I can.  Right now I have these pictures to get in the books and I'll be only a month behind.

I am hoping I can get at this but I timed myself and it takes about 10-15 minutes a book, sometimes longer for just the January pictures.  This is uninterrupted time of course which I never have.  I also am not going to put this job ahead of my family's needs so I do what I can when I can.

But...... I really think I better pick a night to get on this job because I truly am tired of looking at this......

Sunday

It is Sunday and another Sunday that there is no possiblity of going to church with my family.

I would go by myself with the kids but then that would be crazy time since our church does not have a nursery of any kind.  I don't think I could control four kids by myself at the young ages they are.

So I guess I'll do my own church again today.

If you get to go to church, enjoy it because it's not that easy for other's to attend.

Spring Fling

How many are you singing the spring happy dance right now?

I am.... but cautiously.

Why?

Well, because I live in Canada. Need I say more?

What is it about spring that revives us?

As Mother's we have way more work to do with mud now in the picture.  If you have a dog and your lazy like us you also have some soggy doggy aftermath that needs to have someone with a strong stomach and weak sense of smell pick it up before children with little feet step or worse FALL in it.

So as a Mother you would think I dislike this season...but I LOVE it.

Why?

The sun!  The warmth of the sun can finally be felt.

Rain...it cleanses the Earth and the soggy doggy aftermath I spoke of earlier.

Open windows...I love the crisp fresh air within my house, nothing can replace it.

Mud!!! Yes, I love mud to a degree.  I love watching the kids find it so fascinating to see their boots disappear.  My favorite childhood memories are of mud and puddles.  When you live on a farm you have oodles of both but you have to be careful your in mud and not something else.

Even though spring takes alot more work in many ways the benefits of how it makes you feel overall outweigh anything.

With that said I will probably report a huge snowfall next week.

Tackle It Tuesday

Tackle It Tuesday Meme

Yay, second week in a row I found time to participate.  Maybe that should be my tackle!

Our Mom's group meets every Tuesday morning.  At the moment we have about 60 moms registered so it's a big crowd this year and many are new Mom's with babies.  Babies are everywhere and it's awesome!!

Because we have a childcare system setup with our group we are child free for an hour and a half.  This enables us to schedule a craft as one of our sessions.  We have speakers, and coffee time but we always try to find a craft that will appeal to most people.  It's not mandatory to do, you can bring your own craft or just have coffe and visit.

I needed a demo, so another Mom and I are completing these frames so other Mom's have an idea of what we are making.

I think it turned out great!!

I love this paper, it's from Stampin Up.  I love the kids in the pic too....my twins of course.
In face everything I used on the frame is from Stampin Up except the frame..Michael's $1.50.

You can find the tutorial here at Little Birdie's Secrets.  If your a crafter of any kind you must check out her blog...it rocks!!!!

Yippeeeeeeeeeeeee

It's 3:00 pm.

My Mother In Law will be here in less than 2 hours to watch our darling children while we go on a date.

I can't remember when this happened last but I am pretty sure there was no snow on the ground because we went to a bonfire at a friend's house.

I can't wait to enjoy a tasty WARM meal with no interruptions with the exception of the waiter/ess.

I can't wait to enjoy a movie with the one I love and hopefully laugh our butts off.

It's amazing how you take "free" time forgranted before you have kids.

Amazing......
