Your Gonna Miss This Moment

The weekend is here and it's a LONG weekend in Canada. We are spending some of it at home due to Daddy taking some overtime. We will be at the lake on the holiday Monday and we get to meet up with friends, enjoy Daddy for a whole week and family over the next weekend for a family reunion.

But...for today hop on over to Pam's blog and join in on the bloggy carnival. Tell us the moments your gonna miss as they pass by.

This week I was on my own from Monday to Thursday. I noticed how much I get done when my kids are outside, especially when that is at the same time as the baby napping. I usually have a window open so I can hear them. You would think they are on the swings or in the sandbox. Maybe playing soccer or hockey. Not my children. They are on their bikes.

**Warning..for those of you that notice my children do not have helmets on please do not berate me......I am aware of all that could happen**

Usually they are playing "cops" or "CHiPs" . They usually are behaving, working/playing together so I don't disturb them but I do listen and peek out the windows.

They only have this small strip of sidewalk and the garage where there is cement. The gravel is still too tough to ride on for the 3 yr olds. See where the sidewalk ends....lately they have been riding at full speed and "coasting" onto the grass. There has only been a few crashes so far.

Here is Sam with the cap gun, I think he was pretending the dogs were bad guys.

Sasha was just being silly. She can cruise on this bike and of course probably is ready for me to take training wheels off but we will leave that for next summer.


Yes, I will miss the clean snow free sidewalk. I will miss the 1/2 hours I have to myself to get something done. I will miss hearing them go by the window and making siren noises on their bikes because Jon and Punch have to get the bad guy.

But until there is snow....I will enjoy these moments.
