I mentioned a little blog on Sunday called "Inside the White Picket Fence". I happen to love her idea of "Keeping It Real" posts and decided to join up this week.
When I read her submission rules I loved how it was stated that this carnival was created to "encourage and edify each other, and use what may be perceived our shortcomings to ultimately strengthen ourselves."
How awesome is that? Awesome...
So this is how my life has been kept real this past week.
Thousands of dollars we Canadians spend a year on toys, right? I should know I am a Discovery Toy consultant. I don't spend thousands but I do like to purchase good quality warrantied {yes if it breaks you get a new one} toy.
But what do my children play with?

My sandals!!
This is this baby's favorite place to be...the back entranceway.
So someday I plan on getting the hint that I can just leave old shoes laying around and spend the money I would have spent on toys for scrapbooking paper :), or cheesecake...depending on the day.
After I spot the little monkey at the back door I came back up the hallway to put my camera away and this struck me....

1. They are in a line.
2. They are all quiet at the same time
Weird and that makes it a "Keeping It Real" moment in this household.
and 3. Sasha is sitting in the laundry basket watching Diego
...half naked, Sasha that is, not Diego {yikes}
I dump my laundry in my living room and fold it while sitting on the floor.
I dumped it today but have yet to fold it...
Oh is that a baby laying on the pile?
And last but not least...isn't this what Dining Room tables are for?
Drying pictures we all painted during the day, with each other, as a family?
