Spreading the Word

Often at the end of mass my Priest will tells us to "go and share the good news" or "go and spread the word" something to that extent. When I was involved with my RCIA classes he and I discussed this and I began to understand that accepting to become a Christian meant I needed to live it as well. I try to everyday and I will say it has enriched my life immensely.

Some people who do not have this look on life may think someone like MckMama and her blog (which reaches 200,000 hits a day right now) are just doing it all for the popularity of it. Not so, and if you really read her posts and see Stellan's name gallery this to me is a huge movement to "spread the word".

So many people, I am sure thousands, have been touched by this little boy's life and his Mama's blog. So many people have seen the power of prayer and what is possible with God. So many people around this world are now looking in the same direction as MckMama and her family.

This is happening because of Stellan's illness but also because MckMama is using her blog's popularity to show people how they are getting through this and what can happen through prayer.

She is so not where she is to win a popularity contest the thought has probably never crossed her mind, you can tell she is too caught up in the "movement" of it all. She is here, sharing her story, showing her vulnerability to teach us something and I know firsthand that it's "spreading the word" and catching people.

I was told that God invites us all to him, but the invitation needs to be accepted.
