Unfortunately newborns and very cold temps do not go well together so I had to play this game of...okay...they are sleeping so we need go outside NOW. Of course the mentality of a three year old is not going to understand we have time limits so often we just did not get out there.
This winter was also tough because Daddy is not here. This is not the first winter I have been without my husband. The first year in the house..we moved in January on a freezing cold day...he left for the North to work during the week. I can't remember how long this went on but I do remember how crazy lonely I was. It was just me, my 13 month old, a basset hound and no furniture. We moved from a 1100 sq ft house to a 2600 sq ft house. We never did really own anything we had bought...most of it was given to us or it was a wedding gift.
So yesterday when the temp rose so quickly I was happy when the kids got outside. Even though the wind was up I thought I take Gage out for the first time.
He enjoyed all the new things...I think. He did not like the wind so we stayed by the garage. He last at least 10 minutes and then promptly crashed for an hour or so.
The big kids played on the snow mountain that their Grandfather has made as he plowed out our driveway over the winter.
And of course with spring and no snow Super Fast Sammy will be able to ride his three wheeler farther than just here...
Yes Spring...your welcome to arrive anytime now.
